As an engineer, MBA, entrepreneur and seasoned consultant to thousands of business decision-makers in the U.S., Europe and Australia, Susan is a master at communicating how the principles of energy in the physical world relate to people and organizations.
Susan’s expertise spans multiple areas of energy. Since her college engineering days she has continually explored how the principles of nature and physics correlate to human nature and “the physics of business.”
Susan is co-founder and previous CEO of Go Green Squads, an energy efficiency solutions provider. The company provides energy efficiency audits and upgrades to thousands of households and businesses.
Susan is founder and president of Human Excel, a corporate education firm providing courses to Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits and small businesses. Susan taught and mentored over 600 Six Sigma Green Belt projects, including projects that had measurable impacts exceeding $250Million for one of her clients that addressed how to reduce wastes and improve efficiencies.
Susan trained and certified over 40 Six Sigma consultants, has been instrumental in the design of World Class Six Sigma training programs, and has served as Master Instructor for Motorola’s Continuous Improvement and Statistical Methods curriculums – where Six Sigma started – as well as for other multi-national corporations.
Susan was first introduced into the corporate world when she worked at IBM in manufacturing engineering, marketing and management. During her eight years at IBM, Susan received a Management Excellence Award and a key Technical Award for initiating a Statistical Process Control (SPC) program on billion dollar manufacturing lines.
Susan is also the author of the award winning “Beyond Light Bulbs: Lighting the Way to Smarter Energy Management.” The acclaimed book covers how the pieces of the global energy puzzle fit together to create a bright energy and economic future.
Susan has a BS in Engineering from University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Texas.
